Do What You Can

Personal Best Hip Thrust

An injury 10 years ago led me to strength training. I started lifting weights with Tony Horton and the P90X gang in my garage. I started with body weight, just learning the motions. I graduated to soup cans. Then, came the weights. My husband built a bench and rack for bench pressing, squatting and hip thrusting in our garage. Every day, I focused on what I could do rather than what I could not do. Over the years, I have continued this approach and have built considerable strength. Heavy hip thrusts, back squats, front squats, bench presses, chin ups, military presses are part of my weekly routine. I love it.
