Heather grew up in the Wood River Valley and graduated from the Community School where she took her first yoga class. Growing up in the Idaho mountains ignited a lifelong passion for the physical culture. Hiking, skiing, ice skating, biking, climbing, dancing, long distance walking has always been a big part of Heather’s life.

Heather graduated from The University of California Berkeley and went on to teach 28-day mountain courses for the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School for 4 years. During this period, she developed a regular yoga practice and began teaching to her Outward Bound students. Heather has extensively studied with Bikram Choudhury, T.K.V. Desikachar, Tony Sanchez, K. Pattabhi Jois, and Beryl Bender Birch.

Heather moved to New York City and joined her mom, Toni Goodrich, at The Yoga Center of Greenwich. She co-directed The Yoga Center for 25 years and taught yoga to people from all walks of life, including professional athletes affiliated with the New York Knicks, the New York Rangers and the New York Mets.

An injury led Heather to strength training. She found the discipline of strength training and yoga to be perfect complements. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Bret Contreras Stronglifting Coach.

Heather has an eagle eye that helps students get the most out of a yoga pose or an exercise. She excels at inspiring students to dig deeper and to be their best.
