Fall Update

The first four months of Hot Yoga have been spectacular and HOT. I have welcomed new regulars, visitors and embraced returning yoga students. The new Fuji Mat Floor has been wonderful to pad knees and hip bones for the floor series. The floor has also provided an added challenge for the one leg balancing postures. The floor is a dream to clean. I disinfect the studio after each class.

I decided to re-open The Yoga Center Sun Valley after 3 years of doing yoga alone in my garage. I purchased and returned The Hot Yoga Dome hoping to get some heat and sweat back into my life. (It was loud, a hassle to put up, and too small). I tried doing yoga in a sauna. (too small and too dry).

Community was a missing link.

Doing Hot Yoga in a focused group amplifies the experience infinitely. We are all sorting through different problems during a class. It is a lot more fun to work together. At the end of class in Savasana, there is a quiet union in the room. Some would say it’s gratitude that we survived class. I like to think it is the reclaiming of the Higher Self.

I am currently teaching Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s at 9 am. I am considering adding a Tuesday and Thursday class but am not sure of the time. I am open to suggestions!

The private strength training sessions are also going well. I have a few students who have never strength trained before deadlifting their bodyweight after a few months.

The Yoga Center of Sun Valley is definitely the hottest spot in town. Because of you! Thank you!
